Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach, Muhsin Ertugral told kaizerchiefs.com that he welcomes an opportunity to have another go at Manchester United when the two giants lock horns at Loftus on Saturday in the final of Vodacom Challenge.

The two sides will be meeting for the second time in a space of a week following a 1 all draw at Newlands last Saturday. The Reds were forced to come behind after Kaizer Chiefs defender, Jonathan Quartey had given the Soweto giants a lead late in the second first half.

The outspoken coach first expressed his dissatisfaction at the way the referee handled the game which saw striker, Jose Torrealba leaving the field early following what the coach called ‘bad’ tackles from the opposition.

“There is only one person who spoiled the game tonight, the referee. There were two tackles on Jose (Torrealba) where the referee waved play on. Then, there was the second one on K (Kaizer Motaung Jr.) again the referee did not blow his whistle. It was bad. However, I must say I am excited of the opportunity to meet Manchester United again on Saturday” he said.

“People said last week when we drew 1 all that they looked tired, but no, Manchester is the best team in the world and they obviously know how to condition their players. The game on Saturday will be an exhibition and we will go there to enjoy ourselves.

There are still areas though that is off concern to me like in the middle of the park. I thought we should have punished Orlando Pirates more if we were good there but this is pre-season so we are working on these things. I was again impressed with our defence, our organization was brilliant. Overall I think we played well tonight especially in the second half after we had made couple of changes” he told kaizerchiefs.com

Ertugral singled out former England midfielder, Paul Scholes as a player to watch come Saturday, “A player like Scholes will always pose threats and we will need to be at our best to deal with. He knows his story and we will need to be organized in that area”
