After Sunday’s game against SuperSport United I felt satisfied and was able to break into a smile as we managed to play entertaining, creative and enterprising football under very difficult and trying circumstances. With the torrential downpour that threatened to wash out the game - the playing surface was damp and there were puddles on the pitch that obviously meant that controlling the ball would be tough.

We adapted with some initial difficulty quite well to the conditions and the circumstances in which the game was played. We came out of the game with a lot of positives. The entire team played their part - we looked strong at the back once again, even though we were without Fabian McCarthy and David Obua.

At left back, I felt that Bevan Fransman and his half time replacement David Mototo both played with a lot of courage, charisma and heart which is needed when you play at this level.

Given the fact that Bevan had not started a league game this season and David had not played for longer than 15 minutes I felt they slotted in well and really worked hard and their performances have shown that David Obua has a real fight on his hands for the left back position.

In midfield - every one combined with efficiency. Scara, inactive this month showed

some neat touches and attacked with a purpose and also got stuck into tackles and really put in a performance that we know he is capable of. Scara was well backed up by Gerald Sibeko, Tinashe, Arthur and Thabo Mooki, Gerald has throughout the past couple of weeks been playing well and his performance on Sunday is indicative of his general philosophy of working hard for the team.

Louis Agyemang is beginning to prove what we felt he could do all along which is to score vital goals at the right time. He took his third goal of the campaign well and it was a testament to his abilities as a striker, he is starting to shake off the fact that he was inactive for so long and has shown he is a killer in front of goal.

We now begin to look ahead to another important game against Ajax Cape Town, this coming Sunday which marks the start of a six day three game period. I am sure most of you are aware that we play Pirates in just over ten days time and once again the fixture time table has not been favourable towards us in the week leading up to the game.

So like we did when we played them at the end of October we will focus on Ajax Cape Town and Free State Stars first and then think about Pirates.

To all the fans in Cape Town and surrounds - come out as you usually do in large numbers as Ajax are tricky opponents - with your help we will overcome them. We will talk further on Wednesday with the past weeks developments and also with a further look ahead to the Ajax game.
