Both coaches, Kaizer Chiefs Ernst Middendorp and Tebogo Moloi of Orlando Pirates were in attendance at Thursday afternoon’s well attended media briefing.

Orlando Pirates Tebogo Moloi when questioned about his team's preparations for the game said “we are lucky to be free of any injuries and we have a full strength team for the game, going into this game we are in a very fortunate position in that we are problem free”.

When questioned as to whether he missed the now departed Orlando Pirates coach Kosta Papic the former Bafana Bafana midfielder replied “he is gone now and we have to work on - we can’t look back we have to look ahead Pirates is a big club”.

Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp cut a relaxed figure at the conference, and when questioned about Amakhosi’s chances said “ we are only as good as we think we are. At the moment confidence within the group is at a healthy level and I feel our positive outlook will help us get the result we are searching for”.

Amakhosi headman reiterated his sadness that more Chiefs supporters will not be able to be at Saturday’s spectacle saying “Durban is a nice place to be this time of the year because of the good warm climate; I will stand by my previous thought that FNB Stadium in Johannesburg was where this game should have been played”.

Both coaches got off lightly as the Durban media were not as aggressive as their Johannesburg counterparts were on Monday, and did not fire many shots at the pair and instead allowed the coaches to leave early and head back to their teams.

For Ernst Middendorp it was a quick trip back to the Chiefs hotel to change into his training gear for Chiefs afternoon training session.
