Kaizer Chiefs skipper Jimmy Tau is confident that the Amakhosi’s professionalism and character will shine through when they face Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon, in an Absa Premiership clash which the Tau has said neither team would want to lose.

Discussing the game against the Brazilians with kaizerchiefs.com Tau does feel that Chiefs will be up to the challenge, “this game against Sundowns is a crucial one we have dusted ourselves off and are preparing ourselves for what will be an exciting challenge against Sundowns.

We have the hunger to win the game on the back of our recent disappointment we are ready to give everything we have to win the game.”

As Tau further explained coming up against an on form Sundowns team will need a strong team effort to help the Amakhosi collect the three points, “this game is a good opportunity for us to show our collective strength as well as our mental strength, it will be a test of our resolve and our character and we are aware of that.

This is an important game and as a team we know that.”

Tau has the necessary knowledge and experience to gear him up for a game which is crucial for both team’s title aspirations and is expecting the game to be an open affair.

“Given where both teams sit in the title race, neither team can sit back and play for draw, based on the title aspirations of us and them I do feel that the game will be played at a fast pace and I predict it will be a tough game physically and a very attacking one as well.”

The Chiefs right back furthermore believes that a loss will put paid to any hopes either team will have of lifting the league championships, “whoever loses this game can say goodbye to the league title.

What is important for such a game is that you well prepared for an encounter that is so important to two strong teams, and so far our preparations in the build up to the game our have been good.”
