While most people have closed their businesses and begun the journeys for their summer holidays the Kaizer Chiefs Legends team will be hard at work over the reconciliation day long weekend.

The Amakhosi heroes of yester year will begin their double header weekend in earnest when they take on a Sylvester Cole selection team, in a game to honour the former Kaizer Chiefs player in his home town of Mmbatho on Saturday (17-12-05).

Prior to the game the Chiefs legends will host various clinics around Mmbatho for budding young soccer players and will also engage in various activities around the governments sixteen days of activism campaign.

The Chiefs legends have been advocates of the campaign which is about preventing the abuse of women and children, and stand by the motto of consistently standing and speaking up about the abuse of women children.

After the Mmabatho game which kicks off at 12h30pm the Legends will drive 400 km’s to Kimberley in the Northern Cape to take on a Northern Cape selection team.

This will be the third year in a row that the Chiefs legends will playing against a Northern Cape team as the game is part of a cultural fair which takes place annually at this time of the year in the Northern Cape capital.

As yet the venue for both games is to be confirmed and so is the kick off time for the game against the Northern Cape selection team.
