At 30, Josta Dladla has already won almost every trophy on offer at the PSL, played in Europe and represented South Africa at highest level but the Johannesburg born midfielder has expressed his ambition to win league title with Kaizer Chiefs this season.

“It is my dream to win the league with Amakhosi,” Dladla told kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday afternoon.

“God has to help me,” said the easy going Dladla.

Affectionately known as “JD”, Dladla’s ambition to win things with Chiefs was clearly demonstrated with his five star performance after coming in as a second half substitute against Bidvest Wits last Sunday where he almost single handedly buried his former club.

“I have won the league twice with my former team Sundowns but winning it with Chiefs will be very special. This is my ambition and was my ambition when I joined this team midway last season,” he said.

Josta admitted that he did not do well after joining the Club as his mind was not settled, “It was very tough when I joined…but I had to do something this season. I started the season well but got injured. I feel now that I am returning to my best and it is thanks to my teammates and everyone at the Club,”

“People have already written us off as far challenging for the league title is concerned already tipping SuperSport United to defend the title. We know what we want as the players…and it is the league this season.”

We feel that we still stand a chance to challenge strongly for the Absa Premiership title. For me personally it will be an honour to win the league and be part of Bafana Bafana squad in the World Cup,” he added.
