Kaizer Chiefs will be without burly Ivory Coast striker Serge Djiehoua after the Amakhosi learned that the injury he picked up in a PSL clash against Cosmos is worse than originally feared.

Serge underwent a scan after the game and is being continuously monitored by the clubs medical staff - who noticed that the swelling on his leg is not going down.

The young striker telephoned coach Ernst Middendorp in the early hours of Friday morning -explaining to the coach of the excruciating pain he was in.

Serge was sent early on Friday to have another scan and the medical team will get the results from the specialists soon.

Words of encouragement to the devastated Serge are – Collins Mbesuma and Siyabonga Nomvete picked up knee injuries early on in their careers and returned with a vengeance to lift Chiefs to greater things and become house hold names in South Africa.

Kaizer Chiefs will let our supporters know the outcome of the tests.
