Kaizer Chiefs and Benoni Premier United concluded a one year loan deal for the services of Amakhosi striker Serge Djiehoua; the move sees the Ivorian who joined Chiefs at the start of the 2005 – 2006 season team up with his former Amakhosi team mate defender Patrick Mayo who joined Benoni a week ago.

The twenty three year old Djiehoua who in the two seasons he has been at The Amakhosi has played a total of seventeen games, will be at United for the rest of the 2007-08 season and will return to The Amakhosi at the end of the current campaign.

Happy to play

Djiehoua told kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday afternoon that he was happy to have found a club where he will be able to play regular football for the rest of the season, and he will be looking to use the game time given to him at Benoni to score a bagful of goals.

“I am glad that I finally found a club that was willing to take me on loan. My intention is to go to Benoni and play and score goals regularly, that is my hope at least but this is a good move for me and I will most definitely make this loan spell out to Benoni work to my advantage” said an upbeat and excited Djiehoua.

Serge will leave his home in Johannesburg and will be based in Durban for the remainder of the season, as United relocated there a few weeks ago.

Transfer update

Around a fortnight ago, The Amakhosi placed a number of players on the transfer list and amongst those is Scara Ngobese. He remains one of the players put on transfer by Chiefs or released and has as yet not found a club. Chiefs team manager Bobby Motaung explains “Scara Ngobese and Louis Agyemang are two of the guys who we still have not received any offers for, while Kaizer Chiefs are waiting for Platinum Stars to come back to us with details on whether or not they will be signing on Gert Schalkwyk.”
