Kaizer Chiefs U-17 team under the tutelage of Doctor Khumalo will participate in the 2009 Gauteng edition of the Engen U-17 Knockout Challenge to be played between July 17 and will end July 19.



Wits juniors will be the hosts at the Marks Park fields in Auckland Park.



The Chiefs U-17 team has grown from strength to strength winning the Platinum Stars U-17 Tournament last year and gave a very good account of themselves earlier this year against topsides from South America in an international tournament. They will again be favourites to do well in this up coming tournament.



The draw conducted at Wits University on Monday saw archrivals, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows avoiding each other in the group stages.



The draw:



Group A:
aizer Chiefs, Markspark Rangers, Ekurhuleni Sports Academy and Wits Juniors



Group B: Soweto XI, Sporting, Orlando Pirates and Robersham Callies



Group C: Southdowns FC, Moroka Swallows, Jomo Cosmos and Bidvest Wits



Group D: Highlands Park, University of Pretoria, Supersport United and Uniao FC
