Develop Scara into the Van Der Vaart role

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Frank Eullberg has said that the coaching staff would like to see Scara Ngobese playing the same role for Chiefs as Dutch midfielder genius Rafael Van Der Vaart has been doing for Bundesliga side SV Hamburg.

Van Der Vaart, since joining Hamburg from Ajax Amsterdam, has netted six goals in eight games, prompting a revival in a club known in Germany for mid table mediocrity.

Van Der Vaart has been at the forefront propelling them up to second place in the table one point behind Bayern Munich and still the only unbeaten team in the league this season.

“If you look at Van Der Vaart - he plays behind the front two and he has been exploiting the space left to him and scoring goals mainly from outside the 18 yard box” added Eullberg. He further added “Scara has the potential to achieve lofty heights as a world class footballer.

We will try to develop him in to the Van Der Vaart mould, from a certain point onwards - he will need to take the mantle and prove he can do the job”.

Eullberg is of the opinion that as the season progresses with Scara finding himself in attacking positions, his goal count will start to rise and the expectation of a goal every two games would not be out of touching distance for the highly skilful and delightfully tricky midfielder.
