The Kaizer Chiefs Family in its totality, joins the community of Thabong Township in Welkom, which is mourning the death of talented youngster, Elton Muruti Manyadi, who reportedly died last week.
Development Coach, Terror Sephoa, who scouted the 11-year-old Elton, then in an under-13 tournament in Mamelodi, described the youngster, who was 16 at the time of his death, as humble.
“He was a lovely boy, very humble and also very disciplined. He never gave us problems during the years he spent with us. Having played for the Under-13s, he went on to play for the Under-15s and the Under-17s. He was no longer with us by the time he died –- he left the Kaizer Chiefs Development Programme in 2008. It is a loss, once again, for the football community. I send heartfelt condolences to his family and relatives.”
