Kaizer Chiefs Managing Director and Chairman, Mr. Kaizer Motaung has extended a message of condolence to the family, friends and colleagues of the late former SAFA Vice-President, Rueben Mahlalela.



Rueben Mahlalela who has been servant of the game for quite a number of years succumbed to death on the early hours of Saturday morning.



“He served as a Vice-President of SAFA and obviously, we (Kaizer Chiefs Family) send our deepest condolences to his family,” said “Captain Chincha”.



“South Africa has lost another valuable asset in Rueben. He made significant inputs in the development of football in the country, particularly in Mpumalanga where he comes from. He will be sorely missed by the football fraternity especially with the exciting times around the corner.



We are hosting the 2009 Confederations Cup later this year and the World Cup next year and we should not forget the input made by the people like Rueben. We will remember him as one of the soldiers of football,” he added.
