The Kaizer Chiefs Family would like to extend condolences to the family and friends of the late Wolsgang Jost, a German reporter who passed away last week owing to a car accident.

The accident happened while the two were driving to Bloemfontein to attend a Confederations Cup game between Spain and USA.

Before his untimely passing on, Wolfgang Jost and Ulrich Reimann(another German reporter and a friend to Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper coach Rainer Dinkelacker), took time off their hectic Confederations Cup media schedule, to honour an invitation to attend a Kaizer Chiefs press conference and media open day on two occasions consecutively.

The invincible Dinkelacker, who spoke to kaizerchiefs.com from a closed preseason camp, sent his condolences to the family and friends of the late Wolsgang.

“Firstly, I must say that I knew the late Wolfgang through my friend Ulrich (currently recovering in the hospital), but the saddening part is that we met for only a few minutes, had a chat about lots of exciting things and the next thing he was no more.

What saddens me more is that his wife and that of my friend Ulrich who arrived in South Africa soon after the accident were already here (South Africa) when he passed on. “May his departed soul rest in peace” said the obviously shocked Dinkelacker.

The Amakhosi’s goalkeeper mentor has on behalf of the entire Kaizer Chiefs Family wished Ulrich and all those who were affected by the accident, a speedy and permanent recovery.
