The Amakhosi juniors, who still have a game to play to complete their programme, wrapped up the title with a 3-1 victory against Westbury Arsenal on Tuesday night. Goals from Kabelo Makokwe, Mthobisi Maduna and Miya Mondli handed the Chiefs lads their first league title under Maphike.
They will go into their final league match against Robertsham with their confidence knowing that nothing to take glory away from them. Joint club leading scorers Mokokwe and Arthur Siyanda, who have noth scored 16 goals, will hope to increase their tally against Robertsham.
Coach Maphike was thrilled at this feat and praised the team for their courage and endless commitment. “It’s great winning this title,” said Maphike. “I think it’s mission accomplished.”
