Kaizer Chiefs’ hopes of making it to the semifinal of 2010 Gauteng Future Champions hang in the balance after suffering a 3-0 defeat against Shandong Luneng (China) on Wednesday morning.
Binbin LIU, Yuxin Du and Hao CHEN scored the goals for the Chinese side to ensure they finish on top of group A with 9 points. Chiefs are second with six points but have conceded five goals, something that might work against them to proceed to the semifinals.
The young Amakhosi who went to the game on a high, having registered two wins against SAFA Tshwane and Team Dublin, and they will now have to wait for results from the other groups to see if they are through to the semifinals.
