Club’s U-19 side arrived back in the country on Tuesday, 25 May 2010 from their successful three weeks tour in Europe where they played tournaments in Switzerland, Holland and Germany.

The Fani Madida led team played their final game on Monday, 24 May 2010 against FC SCHALKE losing 2-1. The Kaizer Chiefs Development team finished fourth in the Culture Cup 2010.

Captain Lucky Baloyi described the trip as a success, “It was a successful trip and the future is bright for the Club,” he said speaking to kaizerchiefs.com at the Club’s Headquarters in Naturena on Tuesday morning.

“We played as a team in Europe and the trip helped build the mental strength of the players. In Europe they play differently to our style here at home, and I am sure all of us benefited from the trip. We will now have to show South Africa what we learnt in Europe. We are grateful once more to the Club in giving us this wonderful opportunity,” added Baloyi.

Mpho Sitayitayi who scored three goals during the tour, paid tribute to his teammates for the job well done, “Credit should go to my teammates for creating those opportunities for me. We would have loved to win at least one of the tournaments but we are satisfied with what we have achieved as the team,” said the tall striker nicknamed “Ndlela” adding that the tournament in Switzerland was the toughest of the three tournaments.
