Stylish midfielder, David Mathebula has told kaizerchiefs.com that he and his teammates have put the disappointment of a postponed fixture against AmaZulu last night behind and they are now fully focused to the Maritzburg United game to be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday.

Match Commissioner, Stan Swart called the game off after 23 minutes due to persistent rain and lightning.

“We wanted to play because we were still on a high following our win against Bidvest Wits. The game though had to be postponed due to reasons beyond our control. We are now focusing to the next game,” said Mathebula who had a rare start in the match last night.

“Hosi ya Mina” as David is affectionately known in soccer circles is aware that the game against Maritzburg will not be an easy one.

“They have been blowing hot and cold and we are expecting a tough game against them. They have quality players and they proved that when we played them in the first round.

Our former coach, Ernst Midderndorp will also be a factor for them. It will be nice to meet him again but our focus really will be on doing well and keep the momentum,” said Mathebula.

Meanwhile, PSL will announce the date for the postponed fixture against AmaZulu in due course.
