Chiefs trio will miss Sundowns clash

Kaizer Chiefs will take the field on Sunday without the services of three, flying winger David Mathebula, and no nonsense defenders, Mokete Tsotetsi and Valery Nahayo. David Mathebula is out due to suspension.

Valery Nahayo suffered a knee injury during a friendly match earlier this week with Mokete Tsotetsi suffering a concussion.

Muhsin Ertugral told kaizerchiefs.com that the absence of the trio will not deter the team spirit ahead of the crucial fixture away to Sundowns.

“We have players available to replace them. It is always nice to have your players all available like it was when we came back last weekend. I now find myself in a situation where I have to do without two top defenders including Dominic Isaacs who is still injured,” he said.

“Preparations for this game are at an advanced stage. We still have one day (Saturday) before the game to wrap up our preparations,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Muhsin Ertugral has confirmed that defender; Jonathan Quartey would be staying with the team after reports from the media that the defender was on his way out to join a club overseas.
