The month of January is birthday month for the Mighty Gold and Black and the first home game is often a celebration of this. The Amakhosi will host Maritzburg United on Saturday, 24th January, at Olympia Park Stadium, Rustenburg where they will welcome the visitors in true Amakhosi style!

Traditionally, Chiefs often light up the skies with fireworks surrounding the stadium, but this game will take place during the day so supporters and fans are urged rather to ‘light up’ the stadium in their best Gold and Black colours and regalia to show their love for the Glamour Boys. Show your support and wear your colours!

Entertainment on the day consists of Motswako Hip Hop artist, Khuli Chana and his entourage who will ‘rap up’ the birthday celebrations. Radio Mafisa’s DJ’s Spicy Steve and Spara will spin the decks and entertain the fans and supporters. Half-time promotions include a give-away of 5 Kaizer Chiefs hampers to 5 luck winners who will ‘show their colours’ on match day.

The Amakhosi Supporters Club will be set up inside the main entrance; fans can sign up for their membership as soon as gates open from 12:30. Remember, the membership tiers (Kids, Youth, Classic, Silver and Gold) cater for the whole family! The Amakhosi Faithful will also be given information with regards to the new technology and initiative that Kaizer Chiefs are a part of.
