Starting on the 15th February when the Amakhosi who are the defending PSL Champions take on current PSL leaders Sundowns, at the FNB Stadium Chiefs will be kicking off with their new fan education programme. The programme which will be run at all of Chiefs remaining seven home games of the season will entail a demonstration lasting five minutes, to be held prior to kick off displaying all official Kaizer Chiefs Licensed Merchandise as well introducing the crowd to the Official Kaizer Chiefs Vendors.

During each game a condensed version of the programme will take place at half time for the benefit of supporters who might have missed the pre match demonstration. As Chiefs brand manager Dara Carroll explains the programme contains important messages for supporters “we want supporters to understand what products are endorsed by the club and what is not, we don’t want them purchasing inferior quality product and then having problems with the goods and linking it to the Kaizer Chiefs brand”.

The club also aims to make supporters feel more comfortable when purchasing Amakhosi products therefore introducing vendors to supporters. Carroll explains further “coming to the stadium is a special occasion and purchasing Chiefs goods should be special as well.

That is why we want supporters and vendors to have close personal contact so that when they need a Chiefs shirt, key ring or towel they know who to contact”.

Chiefs game against Sundowns on the 15th February is scheduled to kick off at 20h00 with pre match activity galore including the launch of this unique new initiative.
