Chiefs will head into their last game of the 2010-2011 season against AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the knowledge that they still have an outside chance of winning the title.

As Vermezovic explains, the Amakhosi are concentrating only on winning the game and not on activities elsewhere. “There is no pressure on us. When we played against Ajax we wanted the win and we went out and got it.

"Nothing has changed for us. We want to win the game against AmaZulu and will be looking at what we need to do right to get the victory.”

While AmaZulu’s season might technically be over, Vermezovic is still wary of the Usuthu and the danger that they pose. “If you look at where they are in the table, they are safe from relegation and cannot reach the top eight.

"To me that really does not mean much because we know that whenever teams play against us they are always motivated and are looking to win the game.

"We will not take it easy against them or be thinking that they will not be serious about winning the game.”

Vermezovic is also not banking on Chiefs' good record against Kwa-Zulu Natal teams this season, which has seen the Amakhosi win four and draw one game out of five against teams from the coastal province, to have any bearing on the outcome of Saturday’s game.

“To me historical and traditional results mean nothing. It might be good for the statisticians. I believe that we still need to go out there and win the game. What we have achieved already this season will not help us on Saturday.”

Vermezovic is confident that the Moses Mabhida Stadium will be a sea of gold and black on Saturday, as he believes that fan power will aide Chiefs in finishing off the season on a victorious note.

"We are always in the fortunate position of having a large following of fans no matter where we play. I don’t think it will be any different on Saturday. The fans have always been behind us and with their help we will try our best to win against AmaZulu.”
