Kaizer Chiefs will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the second match of the Telkom Charity in Mafikeng this coming Saturday, while Orlando Pirates will lock horns with Platinum Stars in the first game. This was revealed on Monday at Summerplace in Johannesburg.

Sundowns are making a come back after missing out in last year’s competition. They are replacing defending champions, Bloemfontein Celtics who missed out in this year’s edition.

Kaizer Chiefs Public Relations Manager, Siyabulela Makunga paid tribute to the Amakhosi faithful for voting the team to the Telkom Charity, “Thanks to all the Amakhosi faithful for voting us in this year’s edition of the Telkom Charity. This tournament gives the team time to continue with preparations that started in the tournament in Mpumalanga, the Phakisa and the Vodacom Challenge that saw us playing against European giants Manchester United and Orlando Pirates. We now have an opportunity to play another big club, Mamelodi Sundowns."

The first game between Orlando Pirates will start at 10h00 with Kaizer Chiefs locking horns with Mamelodi Sundowns in a mouth watering encounter at 12h00.
