Kaizer Chiefs booked their place in the final of Peter Mokaba Cup when they beat Bidvest Wits University 4-3 on penalties after both teams failed to find the back of the net after 90 minutes.

The game, a second semi final of the day was played at the newly built Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, 23 January 2010.

The game was played under scorching sun and referee was forced to give players water break after every 20/25 minutes. The heat though did not stop the players having a go at each other with Bidvest Wits winger Sifiso Myeni causing lot of problems for Chiefs defence. On the Chiefs side, hard running Abia Nale created lot of problems for the Students.

It was veteran goalkeeper, Arthur Bartman though who stole the show with superb saves. His last minute save to deny Sifiso Myeni kept the Glamour Boys in the game. He was also at his best at the 24th minute and 71st minute first denying Nyiko Shabalala from the spot then later denied Brazilian David Batista from one-on-one situation.

Vladimir Vermezovic also used the game to give both 17-year old sensation, Tshegofatso Ramabu and 18-year old, Abraham Jacobs their first team appearance.

Chiefs will meet SuperSport United in a mouth-watering final. Kick off is at 17h00.
