The Encyclopedia of Brands and Branding in South Africa together with the Sunday Times/Markinor Top Brands Survey results were launched On Tuesday 14th September at Summer Place, Hyde Park, Johannesburg.

The results of this Survey includes a full business-2-business survey of the top 10 brands, the coolest brands and the favored brands across various categories.

Kaizer Chiefs came first in the category for the "Most Supported Sports Team" in South Africa with Orlando Pirates in 2nd and Bafana Bafana in 3rd place.

A Kaizer Chiefs profile is also included in the Brand Encyclopedia 2004 edition published by Affinity Publishing in association with Sunday Times for the second year in a row.
