Chiefs swept away by the Tida

The Amakhosi surprised staff and patrons of the Melrose Arch Nissan Franchise in Melrose Northern Johannesburg on Wednesday afternoon when they made some what of an unexpected appearance at the Car Dealership.

Chiefs were at the Melrose Nissan garage as part of the Nissan’s nation wide public launch of its new Tida range of Sedan vehicles which replaces the famous Almera, The Amakhosi’s entrance drew a number of surprise stares and all activity virtually came to a stand still.



Riaz Sayanvala a director at the Melrose dealership located close to the famous Wanderers Cricket Stadium, afforded the Chiefs team the freedom of the vehicles on the showroom floor as they, wandered through the new and used vehicles division.

Arthur Zwane who recently purchased a Nissan Murano 4x4 was amazed with the upgraded sound system in the new Tida adding “I have never seen a new car come standard with such an elaborate sound system, usually you pay a couple of grand extra to have this system installed in your car”.



Spokesperson for Melrose Nissan Shahied Osmany was more than happy to play host to The Amakhosi as he added “it is not every day that you have the most popular team in the country visit you, we are glad that Chiefs took the time out to visit us”.

Ernst Middendorp looked comfortable behind the wheel of the new Tida sedan and commented “you know the country I come from is renowned for producing top quality motor vehicles, I must admit that the Tida is a very impressive vehicle and could give many famous names a run for their money”.
