In a letter to the CEO of the PSL Trevor Phillips, Kaizer Chiefs has expressed their unhappiness with the fact that opposing teams increase their ticket prices when playing against Amakhosi.

The Letter

Dear Trevor,

RE: INCREASED ENTRANCE FEES FOR KAIZER CHIEFS AWAY GAMES

This letter serves to place on record that we are extremely unhappy with the fact that opposing teams increase their ticket prices when playing Kaizer Chiefs.

Ajax Cape Town charged a whopping R25.00 for entry to our game. Supersport yesterday charged R20.00 for entry into HM Pitjie. In fact most clubs charge an increased fee for games they host against us and Orlando Pirates.

We feel that this is a gross injustice and total exploitation of our supporters who pay R15.00 to attend our very own home games. It seems as if our loyal fans, who are the only fans who attend games in their numbers, are being punished for their loyalty.

We are inundated with complaints from our supporters and are at a loss to explain the situation.

If we are to bring fans back to the stadiums then we advise that you institute capped entry fees for all games.

Yours in Sport
