Motaung said losing was part of the game and they needed not to win all the games to capture the Castle Premiership title which has eluded them for 10 years.

"I do not understand the logic behind the suggestion that we are out of the race because the league will only be decided towards the end of April next year.

"At the moment no team really can say they are going to win the league - the race is still wide open," he said.

Chiefs launched "operation take everything" this season and declared to sweep every domestic cup. Amakhosi got their campaign off successfull with the Vodacom Cup Challenge followed by the BP Top Eight, the Coca Cola Cup and the African Cup Winners Cup.

The Phefeni Glamour boys then failed to register a win since capturing the Mandela Cup three weeks ago.

"People have to understand that one cup final is strenuous and to play three cup finals in three weeks and then go on to resume league games is tiring," said Motaung.

Chiefs lost 3-2 to Supersport United, then 1-0 to Hellenic and a 3-0 defeat by Orlando Pirates. On Tuesday night they drew 1-1 with AmaZulu.

"We should have won our games against Supersport and Hellenic but Pirates played well. However operation 'vat alles' is still on track. Losing happens to the best teams in the world -- we will come back," said Motaung.

Meanwhile Chiefs reunited with old partners Iwisa super maize meal by signing a three year partnership. After a 17-year relationship in the early 80's and 90's the two separated.

"It is an emotional day for us today. We were once married with Iwisa and we are proud and honoured to be reunited and we are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them," said Motaung.
