Chiefs regain fourth position in the Telkom standings

Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs regained their fourth spot in the Telkom Charity standings on Monday, 20 July 2009. Chiefs’ had dropped to fifth position early on Monday, but regained their 4th spot in the standings with 44 862 votes by same day in the afternoon.



Kaizer Chiefs currently involved in Vodacom Challenge is the only team to have participated in all the nine editions of Telkom Charity since the telephone giants took over the sponsoring of the event back in 1999.



Public Relations Manager, Thebe Mohatle made a passionate call to the Amakhosi faithful to go out and vote for the Club in ensuring that the Amakhosi are part of the one day event that has since been moved from Coca Cola Park to Rustenburg’s, Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday, 1 August 2009.



“Our participation as Kaizer Chiefs is very important in making sure that we continue to contribute to the life of the needy. The tournament will also give the Technical Team the last opportunity to have a look at the players before the start of the season. We then urge all our supporters to continue voting by calling 086 2222 406,” pleaded Mohatle.
