Kaizer Chiefs get ready to face a Super Sport United squad made up of perennial bench warmers and some of the regulars, at a rain soaked Securicor Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.

As both teams took to what looks like a very drenched field the heavens opened once more, adding more water to the already partially flooded playing surface.

Super Sports United Coach Pitso Mosimane who will be watching this afternoons game from the stands as he serves a suspension, has gone for a starting eleven that could give the Amakhosi a tough outing on Sunday afternoon but it is not United’s strongest line up.

The coach clearly has his eyes on Saturday’s Coca Cola Cup Final against Cosmos and he has also been hampered by injuries to star players the likes of Katlego Mphela, lanky striker Lungisani Ndlela and the dangerous Manuel Bucane.

The Amakhosi for their part have had to make enforced changes as defenders Fabian McCarthy and David Obua sit out this game serving suspensions.

Making their first league appearances for the season are left back Bevan Fransman who fills in the gap left by David Obua, Cyril Nzama and Derrick Spencer replace the central defence pairing of Patrick Mabedi and Fabian McCarthy who started in Chiefs last league which was a 4-2 loss to Silver Stars ten days ago.

Further changes to the starting eleven sees Scara Ngobese make a return to the team as he fills in for Shoes Moshoeu and Songwe Chalwe is relegated to the substitutes bench as the inform Gerald Sibeko replaces him.
