The excitement and noise is building to fever pitch as we edge towards kick off in the much awaited ABSA Cup Final between Kaizer Chiefs and arch nemeses and fierce rivals Orlando Pirates.



As the noise in the ABSA Stadium breaks through the and set the standard at new decimal levels Chiefs are at full strength going into the final game of the season. As the ABSA Stadium fills up so the heavens begin to have a say on proceedings with rain beginning to drop down by the by the bucket loads, the signs are looking ominous for Chiefs though as The Amakhosi faithful far out number their Pirates counterparts inside the ABSA Stadium.



This bodes well for Chiefs as they will have the voices of their fans to help the push for their first trophy in six years in South Africa’s premier soccer competition.



Back to the action on the field Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has recalled midfield heavy weights David Obua and Arthur Zwane, both of whom were not in action when Chiefs were defeated a week ago by Super Sport United in their last PSL game of the season. The surprise inclusion in the Chiefs line up is that of veteran midfielder John Shoes Moshoeu who last started a game for Chiefs in March when he scored as The Amakhosi defeated City Pillars 5-4 in the last sixteen of the ABSA Cup.



Orlando Pirates come into this final having parted ways with coach Kosta Papic and stand in coach Tebogo Moloi has been brave enough to drop captain Edelbert Dinha in favour of Gift Leremi. The rookie Pirates coach has also rung another change from the side which drew 0-0 with Sundowns a week ago, opting to play Lucas Thwala instead of Innocent Mdledle who starts today’s game from the bench.
