Four Club players, Michael Nkambule, Wayne Matle, Thela Ngobeni and young striker, Lucky Khune, have been called up to the Under-23 squad by coach Serame Letsoaka, in preparation of the upcoming African Champions Tournament, to be held in Sudan later this year.

Lucky Khune, who was part of the 20-man squad against Jomo Cosmos on Saturday, will only join up with his national team teammates on Wednesday after arriving back from Durban where he will play in an Absa Premiership clash against Golden Arrows.

The other three players joined the camp after training on Monday and will depart for Lesotho on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Nkululeko “China” Ntshangase, Chiefs’ Under-17 and national U-17 skipper, has been called up together with his Club teammate, Maselaleo “Shakes” Seanego, in the team that will take on Mozambique on February 27 in George.

China, who was handed a captain’s armband by coach Doctor Khumalo during the Future Champions Tournament recently, gave a solid performance throughout the tournament, while Shakes was confined to the sidelines due to a knee injury he picked up at training before the opening game. He has since recovered fully and should be ready to pull on the national team jersey on February 27.
