Ten-times Charity Cup winners Kaizer Chiefs have surged into fourth in the Telkom Charity Cup votes as they overtook rivals Orlando Pirates by the close of business on Monday.

The Castle Premiership and Coca-Cola Cup champions enjoy a slender lead of just 469 votes over the Buccaneers.

Chiefs were on the verge of missing the cut for the 2005 Telkom Charity Cup, as they were patched on position five with less than 1000 votes behind fourth-placed Pirates on Monday morning.
