Even the snow that befell Gauteng on Tuesday night could not dampen Kaizer Chiefs intentions as they went ahead with their rigorous pre-season training programme at a cold Eldorado Stadium on Wednesday morning.

Led by physical trainer Elsa Storm who took them through their paces, the players are aware of what is expected of them, as they responded with a swagger to the delight of new incumbent Muhsin Ertugral.

“We are getting there and I am sure by the time the season starts, we will be at our best.

"It is time to put so much emphasis on physical endurance and tactical awareness and in the next two weeks, the boys will be in a shape we need them,” said the coach.

“They now understand what I want and after working with some of them previously, I am happy to say we are heading to glory days.

"Players like Shaun Bartlett, Arthur Zwane, Cyril Nzama and Tinashe Nengomasha are leading upfront and their experience will surely rub well with the youngsters and newcomers.”
