Kaizer Chiefs have invited two central defenders, Nathan Koo-Boothe from England and Kpewedje Olympe Gantin from Benin for trails at Naturena.

Nathan Koo-Boothe (25) who can also play as a holding midfielder has been in the books of West Ham United, Wimbledon (now known as MK Dons) and Modena in Italy.

Koo-Boothe has been training with the Glamour Boys since late December while Kpewedje Gantin (22) started training with the team on Tuesday morning.

Football Manager Bobby Motaung was quick to point out that the Club is not desperate to sign players during this January open window but has decided to invite the two players, as it is normal during January to June.

The Technical Team is assessing them and a decision will be made towards the end of the month.”

Motaung also revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that rumours linking some of the players away from the Club during January are just a ‘speculation’.

“We are focused on our preparations for the upcoming games and there is nothing concrete that has come on the table for any of the players,” he concluded.
