Kaizer Chiefs were on hand over the weekend while in Cape Town to meet Jingisizwe (13). Jongisizwe currently diagnosed with cancer had written to K FM for his Christmas wish, to meet his favourite team in the land, the Glamour Boys.

The young boy from Eastern Cape has had three operations this year. One of those operations required his leg to be amputated.

Kaizer Chiefs Brand Manager, Dara Carroll explained Chiefs move to meet the youngster, “This is another way as the Club to give back to the community that supports us.

We were really touched to hear about the story of this young but brave boy who for years has been dreaming of meeting his heroes despite his condition. We are certainly hoping that he is going to draw strength from his experience of meeting the Kaizer Chiefs players,” she said.

The young “Jongi” who was accompanied by his family to meet the Glamour Boys could not stop smiling as Jimmy Tau and his teammates took time to chat to him. “Jongi” was particularly happy to meet his favourite player, Jose Torrealba.

“It is the happiest day of my life; I never knew this day will come. We lost against Santos but I am sure we going to beat Bay United next week Sunday,” he said with a broad smile in his face.
