The 2005 South African Soccer Expo the fourth such expo of it’s kind to be held in South Africa in the past six years was held this past weekend at the Rand Show grounds in Johannesburg and has been described as a success by the organizers.

Around 10 000 people visited the expo which started on the 11th November and ended on the 13th November. Chiefs played their part at the expo as the Amakhosi who were part of the Vodacom Stand along with arch rivals Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic were the star attraction at the show.

Chief’s players were also in attendance on all the days of the show duly obliging with signing autographs as well as taking pictures with fans and VIP Guests to the show.

Chiefs under twelve team along with their coach Terror Sepooha conducted a coaching clinic on the opening day of the show, young visitors were allowed to participate in the clinics with the Chiefs juniors.

The Amakhosi also made visitors to the Chiefs stand aware about the clubs involvement with the governments Khomanani Aids awareness project by talking to them about the killer disease and also making informing supporters of World Aids day to be held on the 1st December. In addition Chiefs handed out hundreds of Kaizer Chiefs Khomanani T-Shirts and pledge forms for people to mention their personal ledge in what way they will help make others aware of the killer disease.

Ernst Middendorp the Amakhosi coach enjoyed the interaction with visitors and fans saying, "these kinds of gatherings are good because you get to meet so many fans and a lot of people have given me words of encouragement and support which makes you feel that the effort you are putting in is not going unnoticed."

For his part the coach signed over 500 autographs cards and his charming persona helped him add more fans to his ever-growing legion of supporters.
