Chiefs Legends to take on Liverpool Masters

The Kaizer Chiefs legends, who recently returned from a gruelling weekend on the road as they travelled the country to play in two exhibition games which they won, were buoyed by the news on Wednesday that the Liverpool Football Club Masters Team requested to play them in a friendly match.

Lucky Staliano the team manager of the Kaizer Chiefs legends explains further, "I received a phone call from some one at Liverpool and said I need to phone Bruce Grobelaar who now lives in Cape Town as the Liver pool masters would like to play a game against the Chiefs legends."

Staliano first took the offer as a joke and after phoning Grobelaar to confirm the authenticity of the request he was exuberant, "for us this will be a nice experience and it shows that if you do your job correctly people will see what you do and you will be rewarded."

The game is scheduled to take place some time in may next year and the Liverpool masters who are the un official masters champions of Europe having beaten the likes of the Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal old boys. Have promised that some of their former great’s the likes of John Barnes, Bruce Grobelaar, Ronnie Whelan, John Aldridge and Ian Rush will be showcasing their skills against their Chiefs counterparts.
