Chiefs Legends To Play In Mayoral Soccer Tournament

Kaizer Chiefs Legends, along with their peers from Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Free State Masters (a combination of Bloemfontein Celtic and Kroonstad Stars) will participate in a Mayoral tournament this Friday.



To commemorate June 16, Moqhaka Municipality in Kroonstad will be hosting a Mayoral Soccer Tournament on 15 June 2007 at Loubsher Park Stadium. The theme for this event is “Youth Saying No to Crime through Sports, Arts & Culture”.



The event will start at 10h00 and will end at 17h00 and entrance is free. The Mayoral Soccer Tournament is an annual tournament contested by four various top teams nationally.



The players in this tournament will be the ex players from each team. There will over 80 ex soccer stars playing in this tournament. All the teams having very impressive line ups with a quarter of these players having played for Bafana Bafana in 1996.



The winners of this tournament will receive a R40 000.00 prize, “winner take all” which will be presented at the award ceremony after the games of Friday.
