Kaizer Chiefs Legends participated in the Yfm Summer Live event in aid of 150 children from NOAH (Nurturing Orphans of Aids for Humanity) from a Centre in Swaneville near Kagiso.

The event was sponsored by Vodacom and is was a Y-cares initiative that had the objective of raising awareness around the plight of children infected and affected by Hiv/Aids.

The event was a fun filled day and took place in Newtown Johannesburg yesterday the 16th December 2004.

The objective was also to celebrate Christmas & the festive season with the less fortunate & underprivileged. The 150 children were entertained with games, soccer & basketball clinics & swimming in a refreshing pool.

The Kaizer Chiefs legends, Shakes Khungwane, Linda Buthelezi, Ntsie Maphike and Lucky Styllianou spent some time with the children teaching them soccer skills and entertained them in a mini soccer tournament.

Thereafter Kaizer Chiefs and the Legends made a contribution to NOAH by handing over an autographed jersey signed by the Legends themselves in order for them to raise funds for the centre.

The day was a special & touching one for all of us who attended and we hope that together with Vodacom & Ycares we contributed to make those children's' festive season a little more merry.
