Chiefs knocked out of Supersport U19 Tournament

Kaizer Chiefs’ hopes of winning the Supersport U19 were dashed on Saturday after they lost on penalties against Soweto Select. The game ended goalless but Soweto Select emerged victorious as they managed to beat Chiefs by 3-2 on penalties.



Kaizer Chiefs U19 had done well in the opening stages of the tournament where they managed to win three out of four games in Group C. In their first game they beat De Beers 1-0, then Supersport by the same goal margin. In the third game they were held 1 all by Santos and closed on high in the their last game on Friday afternoon as they beat rivals Orlando Pirates 1-0 through Lucky Khune’s goal.
