Kaizer Chiefs under-16 team raced to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Al-Jazira in the Zayed International Youth Cup competition in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Stephen Faba and Sibusiso Msomi scored a brace each as Chiefs made easy work of their group two opponents. The South Africans are now top of the group with seven points.
Faba received the man-of-the-match award for the second time in this competition. The young striker opened the scoring after 22 minutes and completed his brace 35 minutes later. Msomi netted in the 79th and 89th minute of a one-way game.
The youth team will be off until Sunday when they resume their quest for cup glory against another Saudi Arabia-based team, Alitihad.
