Kaizer Chiefs are now in second spot in the Telkom Charity Cup voting after occupying the first sport for a week. Early this morning, Kaizer Chiefs who showed no respect to European Champions Manchester United in the opening of the Vodacom Challenge on Saturday were trailing to Sundowns. Chiefs come second with 43 436 votes, behind them are Amazulu, Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic.



The popular one-day event is being hosted by Mafikeng on the 2nd August. Kaizer Chiefs Public Relations Manager, Siyabulela Makunga who together with the Supporters Relations, Cecil Motaung have both been hard at work recruiting new members and meeting with branches in the Western Cape spoke to kaizerchiefs.com about the importance of Kaizer Chiefs participating in the Telkom Charity event.



Makunga said, “The supporters and fans have been carried away by the Vodacom Challenge. Through our recruitment and awareness drive in Cape Town we continuously encourage our supporters and fans to always remember to vote. We can reclaim our number one position in the Telkom Charity race. We are thankful to all the Amakhosi faithful who have been voting consistently to ensure that we give other teams a hard time getting to the top”
