Fresh from their first victory in three matches against SuperSport United on the weekend, Amakhosi will host yet another Tshwane outfit when they welcome Mamelodi Sundowns to the FNB Stadium on Thursday evening.

Chiefs managed to score two goals while Matsatsantsa converted a dubious penalty, making it 2-1 for the home side in Polokwane on Saturday evening. Christian Saile and Mduduzi Shabalala found the back of the net for the Glamour Boys in that encounter.

Before Thursday’s game, Sundowns will be in league action this evening against TS Galaxy At Loftus Versfeld. This, after they bombed out the CAF Champions League semifinals at the hands of Tunisia’s Esperance by losing 1-0 on Friday at Loftus, and 2-0 on aggregate over two legs.

Amakhosi and Sundowns have met twice already this season, in league and MTN8 matches at Lucas Moripe Stadium, both of which were won by Sundowns in controversial circumstances.

In the log standings, Chiefs will want to move upwards from their current 8^th spot, having gained 33 points after 25 matches with 33 points The visitors need only six more points to wrap up the league title with games to spare.. They lead the table with 56 points after 22 games.
