Lamontville Golden Arrows settled for 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs in Castle Premier League soccer game at Kings Park Soccer Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The mighty Amakhosi used their full squad, with the return of Stanton Fredericks who was out of action for the first games.

The Chiefs goal came in the second minute courtesy of Jabu Pule.

He finished off the work of S'busiso Dlamini who took on the

opposition with his pace.

Thiyekile Gulwa equalised in the 25th minute after receiving a good ball from Mabhudi Khanyeza.

Veteran John "Shoes" Mosheu did not live up to expectations and was quite subdued in the first half.

Chiefs came on very strongly the second half, creating a lot of chances but Dlamini and Mosheu failed to convert.

Arrows began to play defensive football and Chiefs ran at them, regularly firing in crosses which their strikers were unable to convert.

The creation of chances by Chiefs caused coach Ted Dumitru to

introduce the fresh legs of David Radebe but he too was not up to

the task and also failed to live up to expectations.

Chiefs had Rowen Fernandez in goals for Brian Baloyi.

Pule had a beautiful game, pushing through a number of through balls but it was Mlungisi Gumbi who was selected as the man of the match.
