“We taking it one game at a time,” said Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic addressing the journalists during the Media Open Day at the Village in Naturena on Wednesday.

The Glamour Boys have already made their intentions clear this season winning the Telkom Charity and brushed aside Bloemfontein Celtic in the quarter finals of MTN8 last weekend.

This coming weekend they come against Golden Arrows in what promises to be a sizzling Absa Premiership opener on Saturday, 28 August 2010 at Rand Stadium.

“The game against Celtic is over and we now focusing on Golden Arrows this coming Saturday “said the calmly looking VV.

Vermezovic said it was important for the team to have a good start this season. “We are a year old now and we know how important it is to have a good start in the league.

We want to do better than last season where we won one trophy and came third in league standings. The game against Golden Arrows offers us opportunity to have a good start.”

Meanwhile the Serbian has also insisted to kaizerchiefs.com that Jimmy Tau remains the captain of the team, “Jimmy is still the captain. If Jimmy is not in the game then (Siphiwe) Tshabalala is the captain as it was the case against Celtic.

“We also have guys like Tinashe (Nengomasha), Itumeleng Khune and Reneilwe Letsholonyane who can also lead the team when called to do so,” concluded Vermezovic.

Last season the Glamour Boys had the better of Golden Arrows at home and the return game ended up in a goalless draw.
