Chiefs Development kicks out players with false documents

Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development has embarked on a clean up project identifying players with false identification documents.

This project was started by the Development Administration team consisting of Vincent Williams and Bongani Mngadi.

So far five players have been identified and kicked out of the programme. They have been found to have used their relatives birth certificates or family members’.

“The main culprits in this problem is parents and officials of the previous teams where the players came from. They have been instrumental in forging the players documents so that they can play in the academy. The parents should realise that this is a criminal offence and they are mostly likely to face the police if exposed.”

We have been able to trace the players from the time they started school to the standard that they are presently doing. In doing this, the schools have been able to identify the correct date of births of the players and their correct names.

We are now checking all the players that are in the Development so as to verify their age and identification. We would not like to find the club in an embarrassing situation should some of these players be called for National duties.
