Chiefs clinch Peter Mokaba Cup

Kaizer Chiefs beat SuperSport United 4-2 in the final of the friendly tournament, Peter Mokaba Cup, at the opening of the 2010 Wold Cup venue Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.



Siyabonga Nkosi opened the scoring for United in the 41st minute. Straight after that Chiefs got a penalty, and the captain of the day Gerald Sibeko made no mistake, sending Jacob Mokhasi the wrong way.



In the second half, Dominic Issacs made it 2-1 for Chiefs in the 54th minute following a goal-mouth scrumble. Isaacs then conceded a penalty few minutes after that, Anthony Laffor scored, 2-2.



George Lebese regained the lead of Chiefs in the 78th minute. Jose Torrealba made it 4-2 in the 90th minute to seal the victory for Chiefs.



United beat Denmark side Brondby FC 2-1 in the semifinal, while Chiefs edged BidVest Wits 4-3 in the penalty shootouts after finishing the game tied 0-0.
