This talented young man worked prominently with dancers all over South Africa as well as other seasoned Choreographers in the country. As the CEO of So Be It Entertainment, he was responsible for choreography, event management and production. He worked closely with the South African Music Fraternity and most recently completed choreography for the Miss. South Africa in conjunction with fellow choreographer, Somizi Mlongo.
Kaizer Chiefs and Belmont’s relationship goes back to the first RAU/Kaizer Chiefs Programme where he played along side other young aspiring footballers like Jabu Pule. Bells, as he was affectionately known by those close to him, completed his studies in Sports Management in 1999, and then embarked on starting his very colourful dance career. He was always a proud Amakhosi Supporter and let his true feelings show when he departed from Chloorkop, as he was employed to choreograph the Sundowns’ Cheerleaders, to work with the team he really loved, The Mighty Amakhosi!
Bell’s other achievements include working with Loxion Kulca, Shoe-String Productions, Local Kreationz, AE Productions, Monyaka Productions and AMARA as well as the successful conceptualization and production of various events.
Belmont knew no limits, for him the sky was no limit. He lived by the words, “Some see things that are and ask, Why? We dream things that never were and ask Why Not?” George Bernard Shaw. For Bells, the world was his playground and his audience ever so eager to see him! He believed in exceeding a person’s expectations of him!
He will be laid to rest on Saturday, 19th January in Diepkloof.
Rest in Peace Khosi, your Family will miss you and remember you always as we say farewell to a dance icon!
