Coach Ernst Middendorp opted to rest his starters from Wednesday nights 3-1 victory PSL over Golden Arrows in Durban, when Chiefs took on the Soweto Panthers in a friendly game at the FNB Stadium.

The game which took place late Thursday afternoon saw the coach exploring his options with various fringe players such as Bevan Fransman and Emile Baron got a chance to impress the coach.

Impress they did as Fransman, Agyemang and Songwe Chalwe scored in a 3-1 victory for Chiefs. For the coach Agyemang seeing out ninety minutes was a positive factor: “Louis looks like his over the fatigue problems that troubled him last week and we have another option in the striking department,” said the coach.
