Caution:

A sensational performance from substitute, Josta Dladla inspired Chiefs to a 3-0 win against Bidvest Wits University at a packed Bidvest Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Letsholonyane was first to register his name in the score sheet in the 77th minute followed by Abia Nale in the 85th minute before Josta Dladla capped his Man of the Match performance with a well taken goal in the 90th minute.

Itumeleng Khune made his long awaited after being sidelined by an injury for more than three months. It was the visitors, Kaizer Chiefs who threatened first in the 7th minute of the game with Abia Nale forcing a save out of Francis Chansa following a superb cross from Jimmy Tau.

Then Thabang Rooi’s header went wide after a corner from Mandla Masango who had made his first start in almost three months after. Bidvest Wits threatened twice in the first half with Mark Haskins header going wide and Sifiso Myeni blasted his volley over the bar following a cross from Calvin Kadi. It was goalless at half time.

Vladimir Vermezovic brought in Josta Dladla in a place of Mthokozisi Yende. The move nearly paid immediate dividends as Josta found Nkosinathi Nhleko with a superb pass who delivered a quality cross but Mandla Masango under pressure from Francis Chansa failed to connect properly with the ball.

The game suddenly came to life with substitute, Josta Dladla, Tinashe Nengomasha and Abia Nale creating lot of problems for Bidvest Wits in the middle of the park. It was a latter who came close in the 58th minute with his curler going just over the bar after being set up by Nkosinathi Nhleko.

Abia Nale nearly gave Chiefs the lead in the 69th minute but Francis Chansa pulled a good save denying the Vaal born midfielder his first goal of the season, 2009/10.

The Glamour Boys were finally rewarded with a goal in the 76th minute when Reneilwe Letsholonyane had an easy tap in following superb work from substitute, Josta Dladla. Josta Dladla collected a pass from another substitute, Siphiwe Tshabalala and could have scored but he unselfishly passed to teammate Letsholonyane to score his fifth goal of the season.

Three minutes later, Nkosinathi Nhleko’s header went just over the bar following a superb cross from captain, Jimmy Tau.

Abia Nale finally got the goal he was longing for as he fired home from the close range in the 85th minute. At this stage, the Glamour Boys were in total control of the game and it was not a surprise when Josta Dladla scored in the 90th minute putting a final nail on the Wits coffin who has not won a game in 9 games.
